Our Story

Scott Street Pub is a beloved dining destination located in Lafayette, Indiana. Originally established in 1920 as a neighborhood restaurant, the establishment was later purchased by the current owner who bought it for his wife. Housed in an old home, Scott Street Pub exudes a nostalgic charm that customers love. Our owner has incorporated the old dynamic and recipes of the original restaurant, which has helped establish the pub as a staple in the community. As a scratch kitchen, everything is made from scratch, including the sauces and smoked meats. In fact, our in-house smoked meats are what we are best known for, along with our hand-cut fries and the coldest beer in town. The atmosphere here is very nice, and a great way to cap off a nice afternoon trip to Columbia Park. The food here is also great, would recommend the burgers or the chicken wings. The service was also very friendly and makes the experience that much better.

August, 2025 This place is fantastic! I went there on a Thursday after work (noonish) and there were more than a few people there, but the seating is separated so it didn't bother me. You can sit at the bar, by the door, in the back of the restaurant, and they have different sized seats and tables, which I appreciate. I got a sandwich, appetizer, cocktail, and dessert for ~35 bucks. Everything was delicious! The server helped myself and another patron make our selections and answered all of my questions about their food specials, which are different every day and they even have a couple rotating ones. I went through the week, so maybe they're hoppin' on the weekends, but it wasn't loud, didn't feel crowded, and everything was brought out timely and toasty. The reuben and breaded mushrooms I got were nigh perfect and I'm curious about their fried green pepper rings. This place is neither tacky nor pretentious, and they know they serve good food. I've already told a few people about this place and am definitely going back. Almost forgot! It's right down the street from Second Flight Books and across from a lovely park, so you can make an outing of it.

AMAZING! - we went the first time today and were greeted immediately by Taylor. She was so helpful with her suggestions and we were very pleased with burger and the Reuben. We also got a beer cheese fries appetizer. We have already picked out what we will try on our next visit - this is a must try and we will be back again and again.

The Dog Days of Summer are here at Scott Street Pub! Starting Aug. 7th, we will allow dogs on the patio EVERY WEDNESDAY. Please see a server inside for a table, but walk your fur babies in through the back gate.
